Welcome to the Daughters of the Nile website, where we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your interest in our organization. We are a group of dedicated women committed to self-improvement and making a positive impact on the world, all while fostering meaningful friendships and enjoying ourselves along the journey. With a widespread presence, our international organization has established local Temples across the United States, Canada, and Brazil.
Our roots go back to 1913 when we were founded with the aim of providing social and intellectual enrichment to our members while also striving to elevate moral standards. In 1924, we embarked on a significant mission to support the renowned philanthropy of Shriners Hospitals for Children®. To achieve this, we raise funds through our Daughters of the Nile Foundation and Canadian Foundation, contributing wholeheartedly to the Hospitals and Health Initiatives of Shriners International. Together, as volunteers and friends, we are incredibly proud to have donated over $70 Million Dollars to Shriners Children’s™ through our non-profit charitable Foundations.

The Daughters of the Nile stands as an international fraternal organization with a strong commitment to enriching the lives of women across all age groups. Our primary focus lies in fostering lifelong friendships, cultivating character, promoting intellectual growth, embracing a sense of service towards others, and upholding a belief in a Supreme Being.
To achieve our mission, the Daughters of the Nile holds meaningful ritualistic ceremonies that instill values and purpose. Additionally, we actively support and promote the Supreme Temple and Subordinate Temples, ensuring their continued success. We further contribute to the Daughters of the Nile Foundation and the Canadian Foundation, both dedicated to benefiting Shriners Children’s™, thereby extending our support to those in need.
At our core, we are devoted to nurturing the belief in the Fatherhood of God and the Sisterhood of Women, fostering unity among our members. Our unwavering commitment to service remains a cornerstone of our organization, driving us to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
